When I tell people I make money online they tend to assume that I'm running some sort of Ponzi scheme. But I've never been a good enough liar to pull that off, so instead I blog. Having a planner can help a ton with scheduling yourself. Here are two of my favorites, Bloom Planner and Academic Planner. I like planners because I can sit down and write what I need to do, plus it allows me to keep everything in one area! I use to keep my kids stuff on one calendar and my work stuff on another….but that was just way too confusing for me! One spot makes it much easier! If you noticed, I use cheap planners because all I need is a space to write, and none of the fancy other items. Plus I want a small one so I can fit it in my purse when I go to appointments.

Taylor adds: “When in doubt, over-communicate until told otherwise. Don't forget that your lack of presence can be a negative if your boss is in the dark, especially in this high employment environment. Although working from home is not usually connected with the medical field, a surprising number of medical jobs can be performed from home. Such occupations include medical transcription, medical coding, and virtual nursing. Even some pharmacists work from home reviewing prescriptions, overseeing transfers from one pharmacy to another, and providing counseling on use of medications. Many of these jobs require some form of certification, training, schooling, and/or previous experience.
“Working from home is more and more of a hot topic because of how tight the marketplace is,” says Dawn Fay, senior district president for Robert Half, a recruitment and staffing company. One winning way companies can compete for top talent is by luring would-be employees and retain existing ones with creature comforts. “Companies will do all sorts of things to entice employees, including offering flex time and work-from-home options,” says Fay. And the Walmart app has a savings catcher feature where you take a picture of the barcode or upc at the bottom of your receipt and they search all surrounding store and if a lower price is found they give you the difference back. I have made about 50 bucks total from this app and 20-30 from things like ibotta.
I do appreciate your hard knocks approach. Not convinced if there is any good in making everything as “easy!”. In regards to the comment above from Ryan about being positive: I think we all want it to be fun, cheery, easy, quick, etc. etc. But the reality is that the facts and knowledge, applied wisely, is much more useful than some cheery motivational speaker.
