The name of the site is Will I Succeed? In order to answer that question, I need to define success to me. I have seven major goals to reach. These are financial goals that are, in major part, driven by the success or failure of what I’m doing. You’ll notice at the top of my site is a progress bar. When you’re first starting out, you’ll have to go looking for work, and the best place to do that is on one of the online job boards. Places like Guru, Elance, Freelancer, and oDesk are today’s writers’ best friends. They allow individuals and businesses to post projects, and freelancers to bid on them. Take a look around the sites, sign up for the free access in the beginning, and then begin to place bids on the projects that interest you. It will take some trial and error to find your groove, but once you do, the jobs will start to roll in.

Printables are ALL the rage right now! If you can come up with helpful printables and you're skilled at design — you can make good money from home by selling these digital downloads. We’ve stuck with it for so long because it is something that we enjoy.  I can’t stress this enough – if you start a website about something that you are not passionate about, chances are you will burn out pretty quickly.  It takes a lot of work to build up a successful website, and you have to be willing to put in the time yourself until it is big enough that you need to bring in some extra help.
Do not give in to procrastination. That’s the enemy of freedom workers! Some experts say start with simple to accomplish tasks because it gives you easy wins, thus adding up to your momentum. But make sure a bigger part of your work schedule should be allocated to the most important task. Important can be your own definition: what’s most urgent, what’s most challenging; and for some – what is most income-generating. Define what is important to you based on your work goals. Then identify the task that needs your most attention. Get it done first.

For me, that need translated into a room in my house being converted into an office. We used to have a spare bedroom…now we just don’t have guests. (We never really did anyway.) Due to some changes I had to make in the 3rd bedroom of the house the office is now not strictly mine but it is still an office and I have specific areas set up for the organization of my home business. Here’s a few ideas you might be interested in when setting up your office:

You have likely heard of subscription boxes such as Birchbox and Julep. While almost anyone can start a subscription box service, they can be incredibly labor-intensive and the profit margin usually isn’t so great for those operating on a small scale. Did you know you could start a subscription for your knowledge that’s almost pure profit? With sites like SubHub, you can offer a monthly membership offering anything from meal plans to workout plans to crocheting patterns and beyond. The sky is the limit. You do need to provide new content on a consistent schedule to keep your customers happy. But if there is something your friends are always looking to you for new ideas, you may have an easy little side business on your hands.


These "Google Cash" sites often seem disarming, with family photos and chatty copy. Usually there are comments posted from folks (smiling photos attached) who signed-up and now have found out "just how easy it is to make money online." One site notes that "BusinessWeek recently published a story about all the people making money with Google" (while failing to note it was about people earning big returns on Google stock).
Furthermore, carefully consider your likely attendees, and what schedule would be attractive to them. For example, if you’re planning on teaching a tutoring class, you obviously couldn’t schedule it during school hours. Likewise, a class aimed at mothers of young children will either have to include babysitting services or be scheduled at night, when they’re more likely to have help with the kids. Find the delicate balance of times that fit your prospective students’ schedules as well as your own.
That goes for neighbors who insist on dropping by to chat during working hours as well as volunteer recruiters who assume that just because you're home, you're available. Sure, working at home gives you the flexibility to, say, help out at school regularly, but unless you pick and choose your activities, you may find yourself volunteering full-time. You're better off making a specific commitment and then fitting it into your schedule on a regular basis.

Transcription work from home jobs involve listening to audio files and typing out what you hear. While some types of transcription (such as medical) require training, it is possible to break into general transcription with little to no past experience. You need a computer with a microphone and Internet connection, and you’ll have to fill out a one-page demographic profile. You’ll receive work if your profile matches that of the target audience of sites being tested. Then it’s just a matter of using UserTesting’s screen recorder, which you'll need to download to your computer, to record your verbal comments and on-screen movements as you click through a site. Site owners typically are looking for feedback about whether the Web site is confusing to navigate.
Rosso says the company’s approach to work echoes its open-source ethics. Once a year, employers spend a week together in person, in a combination getaway and team brainstorm, and there are regular small-team meet-ups all over the world. But primarily everyone interacts through such channels as Slack or Skype. “Our quote-unquote office is in San Francisco, but it’s more like an event space. We call it a lounge, not even an office. Maybe once a week people will try to do a lunch together, but there’s never a guarantee you’ll find anyone there,” she says.

8. Microworkers – Microworkers, as the name implies, is another microtask site. They offer a variety of tasks, and some of those may include data entry. Some of the jobs they offer actually pay better than similar jobs on other microtask sites. They also show you a percentage on each job that demonstrates how often that job poster has approved the work of previous workers. Your only paid for approved work, so that’s useful! Payment for completed jobs goes directly to your PayPal account once you hit their $10 payout threshold. Be vigilant against scam jobs offered through Microworkers.


Going away for a weekend? Have an extra bedroom you're not using? List it on Airbnb! To get started, list your entire home or room on the platform (include high-quality photos and a great description) and then go live. BTW, it's completely free to list your home on Airbnb! Once your home is listed, renters can view it online and book it for a certain amount of time. Guests are charged via the Airbnb platform before arrival, and the money (minus a 3 percent booking fee) is immediately deposited in your account, via PayPal, or international money wire. Some Airbnb hosts are earning thousands each month renting their home out via the platform.
To avoid any confusion, I want to make it clear first that virtual assistant work is not always non-phone, but it can be. Virtual assistants tend to do a little bit of everything, just depending on their skills/expertise. So if you are good at various non-phone tasks (social media marketing/moderation, writing, graphic design, research etc.), then you may be able to do work for some of the companies below putting those non-phone skills to work.

Parlapiano recalls putting a sign on her door with "Mommy is working now so don't come in" on one side and "Okay to come in" on the other. Keep in mind, particularly if you have in-home child care, that it may be easier on your child and your caregiver if you keep your days relatively predictable. It's important for your spouse to recognize your boundaries as well. If you're serious about starting a business at home, your days can't be dedicated to laundry and running household errands. With your spouse's help, work out a plan for dividing household chores and spending quality time together.

To make money from home in customer service, you’ll need a high school degree or the equivalent for many jobs. For some customer service jobs, a post-secondary degree or some college may be required. It’s usually absolutely necessary to have the right equipment, which means an up-to-date computer; a quiet, wired workspace or home office; and, often, noise-cancelling headphones. On the non-tech front, excellent interpersonal skills are a must.

Aren’t remote workers distracted all the time? This is the crux of a large debate throughout the civilian work world about the efficiency of remote workers. Some people assume remote workers are all stay-at-home parents who squeeze work in between screaming kids and trips to the grocery store. Others argue that without office distractions, remote workers are way more efficient. If you choose to explore remote work, prepare to meet both types in your new job(s).

I agree with some of these methods but are any of these really going to get a person the kind of income that is worth their time? I started looking into most of these ways and even got into affiliate marketing, blogging, writing copy and even taking surveys but it requires tons of time for a small amount of return. The only problem with that is most people need more and wont spend hours on the internet for such a small return. I would highly recommend network marketing… multimillionaire Robert Kiyosaki say network marketing will create more self made millionaires then any other business has. That’s what I did and now do it full time earning well over $6,000 a month. So I leave you with few tips on finding the right one.

And if you’re feeling lonely or unmotivated, work from a coffee shop or a restaurant a few hours a week. “While you may not interact with anyone, being around others can motivate you to work,” Kanarek says.

More scams. According to the Federal Trade Commission, other common work-at-home scams are related to medical billing ("There's a severe shortage of people processing medical claims!"), envelope stuffing ("For a small fee, we'll tell you how you can earn money stuffing envelopes at home!"), and assembly and craft work ("You can assemble products at home in your spare time!"). In each case, the only one making any money on these deals is likely to be the scammer, who happily accepts your sign-up fee and the money you send in for a "start-up kit"—and then disappears.
Rebecca Martin from Covergys.com, a call-service supplier, says, "be sure you have a quiet, distraction-free designated work space. Decorate your home office in a style that is appealing and inspirational to you." Most women do better if they treat their at home job more like an occupation. Let everyone know you are working. Get dressed in the morning, stick to a routine that works for you and those around you and you'll be on your way to earning substantially more than you thought you could.

The Federal government saw a 421 percent increase in the incidence of telecommuting from 2005 to 2012. The Telework Enhancement Act of 2010 set guidelines for telecommuting eligibility requirement and also set tracking and reporting standards. Telework.gov is a website where government employees and managers can obtain guidance and seek eligibility to telecommute. The Federal government has a wide range of career options to match a vast array of skill sets. Candidates can search and apply for these positions on USAjobs.gov.
10. Working Solutions – Working Solutions periodically offers work that involves data entry. In order to work with them, you’ll need to fill out an online application and follow it up with taking some assessments. They’ll contact you afterward – their website says this step can take up to 2 weeks – with acceptance or rejection. Once you’re an agent, you will have the opportunity to review and put yourself forward for programs you think match your skills. Each program pays differently, and payment is made either via direct deposit or mailed check.
Schedule time to interact with others. Ideally, you will schedule time for networking events, workshops and classes that pertain to your business. Include developing new relationships or continuing relationships you may have already established. It's too easy to become isolated when you are working from home. Relationships are still just as important as they were when you were going into the office, maybe more important. Join business networks. Attend their meetings. Many events are ideal for those who work at home or own their own business.
