For some people, work just has to be in an office, factory, store, or any other environment that’s separate from home. Even a second job would have to be in a separate place. For others, a home office is a welcome place for a secondary or even a primary job. If you’re one of those people, you have some unique opportunities, but you also have some very particular challenges of working from home.
Nowadays you can rent just about anything! I already talked about renting your home or a room in your house, but did you know that you can rent stuff like your car, RV, boat, driveway, backyard and tons more?! If you have property or things lying around your home that you only use occasionally, consider renting it out on some of these platforms for some cash!
When you're first starting out on eBay, you just want to sell whatever you have lying around the house. You'd be surprised at what goes for good money on eBay, especially if you break parts up. Let's say your vacuum just broke and you replaced it with a new one. You can literally make just as much money selling those parts off your old vacuum than your NEW VACUUM COST! Totally not kidding! Someone else may not have the money to go out and buy a new vacuum, so they buy the parts off eBay and it saves them money. They are happy. You are happy because collectively for a few parts, they just bought you a new vacuum!
More scams. According to the Federal Trade Commission, other common work-at-home scams are related to medical billing ("There's a severe shortage of people processing medical claims!"), envelope stuffing ("For a small fee, we'll tell you how you can earn money stuffing envelopes at home!"), and assembly and craft work ("You can assemble products at home in your spare time!"). In each case, the only one making any money on these deals is likely to be the scammer, who happily accepts your sign-up fee and the money you send in for a "start-up kit"—and then disappears.
Cash4Books is an online portal where you can sell new and used books. Grab your books and head to the website, here you’ll be able to enter each book’s ISBN, which is a 10 or 13 digit number that can be found on the back cover or inside the front cover of almost all books. Once they receive your books, you’ll be paid either via check or PayPal.

Perhaps you’re raising kids and you’re committed to not using daycare. Maybe you’re a little older and can’t commit to a full-time job. Or you might be injured or disabled, making it difficult for you to leave your home each day. Whatever your reason is, if you’re stuck at home most of the day, you’ve probably thought about the income you could be making by taking a work-from-home job or running your own business.

Nice writing style Ben. I’m finding out very quickly that to make any money writing, you have to read, read, and then read some more, no matter how smart you feel you are on a subject, before writing your first sentence. I have always been a fan of multiple income streams and am thrilled by the ideas of proofreading, editing, blogging, freelancing and transcribing. Having spent one of my careers doing just that for a large corporation, it’s a perfect fit, but now I can get credit for my work, thanks again for a great article.
As usual, another good one from Copyblogger. I feel the most important is the Point 4. Unless people trust you, nothing will move. I have explained in detail the various means of building a community of trusted people for your business to flourish. My take on trust can be read at http://sidsavenue.blogspot.com/2012/03/are-you-aware-of-theory-of-traffic-and.ht ml
Most of those “work from home” opportunities that you see on TV, in the newspaper, or online are scams or pay you so little for the time you’ve invested that it’s not worth your while.  In my quest to figure out a way to ditch the 9 to 5 job so that I could work from the comfort of my own home, I have come across many different opportunities.  Whether you want to work from home so that you have more time with your kids or because you’d rather wear your jammies instead of a suit, the following are some great ideas on how to earn your living by working from home.  I can’t promise you’ll get rich overnight or quickly earn enough to replace your salary, or that it will even be easy, but if you stick with it and keep trying you’ll eventually have achieved your goal.

Here’s a good example of how lead sales can work in real life: My second website, Life Insurance by Jeff, brings in a ton of traffic from people who are searching the web to find answers to life insurance questions. While I used to have the website set up so I could sell these people life insurance myself, it was a lot of work to process all the different requests and clients. As a result, I started selling the leads I gathered instead.

Excellent article, with one glaring omission. In addition to having your readers like, subscribe, share, digg or stumble upon this article, you need to have a *PRINTABLE VERSION*. It’s so easy to do, and, trust me, readers like myself would really appreciate having a notebook full of neatly printed articles to refer to. Maybe a small thing to you, but it would be huge for the folks who need this material. Many thanks. fb

As a home-based employee you don’t have the luxury of co-workers sitting right next to you--so you’ll often have to figure out issues for yourself. If you’re the type of person who prefers a lot of guidance or is easily distracted, working at home may not be an ideal situation for you, Hanna adds. “And even if you are motivated and can stay on task in a home office, if you’re a social butterfly that requires a lot of social stimulation, working at home may cause you to go stir crazy or it make even make you socially depressed.” By knowing your personality and skill sets, you can determine if working at home is the right choice for you.
